Enhancing Safety in Urban Environments with Advanced Blind Spot Information Systems for Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Urban areas pose significant risks for large vehicles due to driver blind spots. The General Safety Regulation mandates the R151 Blind Spot Information System (BSIS)and R159 Move Off Information System(MOIS)for heavy-duty trucks, to alert drivers through optical, acoustic, or haptic signals to prevent collisions with cyclists and pedestrians. Using AI, Brigade’s solutions utilise sensors and cameras to detect cyclists & pedestrians only when they are at risk, enhancing road safety in urban environments.
