Online Meeting
We will introduce our research and development efforts to solve regional issues, making full use of the latest technologies such as cross-modal AI, edge AI, and sensor fusion.
We are promoting research and development to automatically detect incidents in the city from a huge number of images using cross-modal AI running on edge AI devices, inputting images from dashcam cameras of cleaning vehicles and route buses driving around the city.
Latest Technology Trends (Beyond 5G/6G, etc.)

Regional DX initiatives making maximum use of edge AI technology
The rapid evolution of "generative / AI technologies," including generative AI, is greatly expanding the possibilities for solving various social issues and making cities smarter. Keio University and Reitaku University are using these "generative / AI technologies" not only on GPU servers, but also on edge AI technology to provide a flexible architecture to solve various social issues and make cities smarter. This time, we will introduce the following examples.
- Real-time detection of garbage output using edge AI devices installed on garbage collection vehicles
- Initiatives aimed at searching for city incidents using cross-modal AI
- Initiatives of the "Regional IoT and Information Force Research Consortium" in collaboration with Shonan local governments
