Research Development and utilization for Local 5G and LPWAN

(1) Local 5G
radio propagation performance and communication performance with multiple RUs distributed underground and indoor, and are currently studying their utilization for specific use cases.
(2) LoRaWAN Class B mode
We are currently analyzing the performance of Class B, which enables downlink communication at any timing by the network subject, and verifying the actual device.

Performance and use case for distributed local 5G in an indoor locations

We are currently evaluating the radio propagation performance (heat map analysis using area testers) and communication performance (throughput and latency focusing on the physical layer) of the local 5G system installed on the second basement floor of the Shinagawa campus of the University, where RUs are deployed in a distributed manner. Presently, we will also study the utilization of local 5G with specific use cases in mind. We are looking for companies that are willing to cooperate with us in the demonstration evaluation.

Performance analysis and utilization of loRaWAN downlink (Class B Mode)

We have been evaluating and analyzing the energy consumption and communication coverage of nodes using Arudino microcontroller-based LoRaWAN nodes that support Class A, in which end nodes are the main endpoints, for regional smart agriculture. Currently, we are analyzing the performance and verifying the actual equipment for Class B, which enables downlink communication at any timing, mainly by the network.
