Logistics 2030 Safety & Health: Medication Checks at Roll Call and Driver Treatment Continuity

In the logistics industry, responding to the “2030 Problem” beyond the 2024 labor regulation changes has become an important management issue. In addition to the decline in the working-age population, the industry faces multiple challenges, including the aging of drivers, a shortage of younger workers, the need to improve working conditions, and rising logistics costs. As a result, a significant shortage in transport capacity is also expected by FY2030. To maintain stable transportation with limited human resources, it is essential not only to secure new workers, but also to create an environment where current drivers can continue working in good health, safely, and for longer periods.
In particular, in the aging transport industry, the progression of lifestyle-related diseases, interrupted medical visits, and medication discontinuation may lead to cerebrovascular and cardiovascular events, visual impairment, and neuropathy, increasing the risk of health-related accidents and difficulties in continued employment. In addition, how to check and respond to driving-restricted and caution-required medications that may cause drowsiness, decreased consciousness, or other effects on driving is becoming an important theme in future safety management.
This seminar will explain the concept of health management required in the transport industry, the relationship between medication adherence and health-related accidents, and the practical points of checking driving-restricted medications, with the logistics 2030 Problem as the background. We will also introduce a new framework that utilizes an electronic medication notebook to connect drivers’ medication information with the safety and health management needs of companies. This seminar is recommended for business owners, safety managers, operation managers, and health management personnel.
