Leafony: An Open Hardware and Software Platform for Versatile IoT Systems

Leafony is an open hardware and software platform that allows users to easily build a variety of IoT and other advanced systems by combining leaf-shaped electronic circuit boards, each the size of a one-yen coin, with different functional modules.

It is widely used in business idea prototyping, education, research and development, maker activities, and hobbies, serving as a foundation for the creation of new applications and services. Leafony can be used as an Arduino-compatible platform for easy prototyping, while also supporting more advanced software development environments for professional use.

Basic Kit 2 quick start guide
The Leafony Basic Kit 2 is a development kit designed for ultra-compact, low-power systems and can even operate on a coin cell battery.

It includes leaves equipped with an AVR microcontroller (Atmega328P), an STM32 microcontroller (STM32L452REI6), BLE, a temperature and humidity sensor, an illuminance sensor, and an accelerometer, along with a plastic case with a magnet. This allows for easy creation of IoT sensor devices.

ESP 32 Wi-Fi Kit 2 quick start guide
The Leafony ESP32 Wi-Fi Kit 2 is a kit based on the popular ESP32 microcontroller, featuring Wi-Fi communication, a microSD slot, and a real-time clock function.

It is slightly larger and consumes more power than the Basic Kit but offers significantly higher performance. While it cannot operate on a coin cell battery, it can run on a slightly larger battery.

Right out of the box, it can transmit touch sensor values via Wi-Fi to a smartphone or PC for easy display. Battery holders for AAA alkaline batteries and 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are available separately.
