October 2002: Appointed Director of Uru Systems.
October 2011: Appointed Executive Vice President of Nautilus Technologies.
March 2012: Appointed President and CEO of Nautilus Technologies; assumed current position in April 2017.
After joining Nautilus Technologies, he focused on batch processing optimization, particularly in the area of distributed processing,
and led the development, release, and implementation of “Asakusa Framework,” an operational development framework for Hadoop.
He is currently leading the development of the distributed processing database “Tsurugi” and is dedicated to further improving its efficiency and speed.

Next-Generation High-Speed RDB “Tsurugi”

“Tsurugi” is being developed as an RDBMS designed to support new hardware architectures and offers the following features:
① Supports both high-speed batch processing and online operations
② Provides a low-latency AI execution environment
③ Supports local LLMs and MCPs
④ Offers various interfaces, including Java API, Web API, ODBC, and JDBC

Developed based on a design philosophy tailored to new hardware architectures, it is a database that delivers maximum performance on these platforms.
