Overview of the 8th Local 5G(Private 5G) Practical Training Course

1. Objective of the Course
As Local 5G(Private 5G) transitions from the experimental phase to full-scale social implementation, this course is designed to help companies, local governments, and engineers acquire practical knowledge and know-how directly applicable to the design, construction, and operation of Local 5G(Private 5G) systems.
2. Target Participants
Personnel from companies or local governments considering the introduction of Local 5G(Private 5G)
Engineers involved in design, deployment, and operation of Local 5G(Private 5G) networks
Professionals aiming to move from PoC (Proof of Concept) to full deployment
Participants seeking hands-on, practical insights beyond conventional classroom-based training
3. Key Features of the Course
・Practice-Oriented Curriculum
Focuses on real-world design and deployment scenarios rather than purely theoretical learning.
・Comprehensive Coverage of Technology and Regulations
Integrates technical aspects of 5G/Local 5G with regulatory frameworks, licensing requirements,
 and standards.
・Introduction of the Latest Use Cases
Includes real implementation examples from industries such as manufacturing, logistics, smart
 factories, and local government.
4. Main Topics Covered (Example Structure)
・Fundamentals and latest trends of Local 5G(Private 5G)
・Network architecture and configuration of 5G / Local 5G
・Equipment configuration (base stations, core networks, terminals)
・Key considerations for design and deployment
(coverage planning, interference countermeasures, security, etc.)
・Operational and management challenges and best practices

OfficeAssistant to the Secretary General
Toshiki Miyasaka
I began my career at Toshiba Corporation, where I worked at its research laboratories and consistently engaged in wireless-related fields. As the head of wireless system technology development, I was responsible for overall development activities including antenna design, communication module development, and communication software development.
I have been involved in a wide range of pioneering projects, including the development of the world’s first notebook PCs with built-in Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, satellite broadcasting receivers, and in-vehicle devices. My experience also includes applied technologies for semiconductor memory, and work at a Kansai-based technology trading company. Through these roles, I have worked closely with customers utilizing IoT and local 5G solutions.
Currently, I am promoting and supporting secretariat activities related to IoT, wireless technologies, and generative AI at MCPC.
